Boy killed in hit-and-run

A Monrovia boy was killed Saturday in a hit-and-run accident.

Matthew Dahl, 6, was reportedly riding his bicycle when a truck, according to the Alabama State Trooper’s office, struck him.

The accident took place five miles north of Huntsville around 8:10 p.m. on Kinsale Drive in Madison County. Dahl was struck by a 2000 GMC pick-up truck driven by 19-year-old Kyle David Morgan.

Morgan was charged with felony manslaughter and felony leaving the scene of an accident.
