Roster changes for Huntsville Stars during away seriesPublished 11:09am Monday, July 18, 2011
The Milwaukee Brewers have made a pair of roster moves that will impact their Double-A affiliate Huntsville Stars prior to their start of tonight’s series finale at Montgomery.
RHP Jim Henderson has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville.
Additionally, RHP R.J. Seidel has been promoted to Huntsville from Brevard County.
Henderson started the season with the Sounds before being sent to Huntsville on May 28.
In 16 games with the Stars, he’s gone 3-1 with a 3.15 ERA.
He’s converted five of five save opportunities and struck out 23 batters in 20 innings.
Seidel is returning to Huntsville after a brief stay with the Manatees.
He started the season with the High-A team and is making his third appearance at the Double-A level.
Seidel won his last start on July 17, going 5.2 innings allowing just one hit, one walk and striking out five.
With these moves, the Stars roster sits at 24 active and six disabled.
The Stars finish the six-game series tonight and return home on Wednesday, July 20 for a five-game series against the first-place Chattanooga Lookouts.
Early arriving fans will get the opportunity to play Yellow Pages Bingo during the contest. The first person to take their completed bingo card to the team store will win two meals from Jack’s Restaurant and two tickets to an upcoming Stars game.
