Published 12:27pm Wednesday, September 14, 2011

A 14-year-old student was stabbed with an ink pen at Chapman Middle School around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning during an altercation.

Upon police arrival, officers discovered that one student had stabbed another student in the muscle part of the right arm with the pen. The pen penetrated the student’s arm about 1 inch.

HEMSI arrived and treated the wound area.

The wounded boy was then taken to Huntsville East Hospital by his mother (this decision was made by the parent and child).  The offender has been arrested and charged with assault second degree.  He is a juvenile and will be going to the D-Home after he is finger printed at the PSC.
