Sparkman Boys fell short to Gadsden City 50-47 Saturday night losing two straight games.
The game was very intense as Sparkman tried to redeem themselves after they took a heartbreak lost Friday to Huntsville 48-45.
The game opened up similar to Friday’s game with both teams playing well. It was Sparkman who looked like they were going to win, but Gadsden kept playing hard. The game was close at the end of the first it was 18-16.
The second quarter was the same as the first, but Sparkman finally started heating up and took a lead over the Panthers going into half 27-21.
Coming into the third quarter, Sparkman used the momentum from the second quarter to keep the lead over the panthers and kept playing great defense.
The fourth quarter was the most intense. Just like Friday, the quarter opened up with Gadsden City going on a 5-0 run, but then Sparkman went on a 6-2 run. Gadsden City came back and was hitting all their shots and making a huge comeback putting all the pressure on Sparkman. The Sparkman fans and students tried to get their team pumped up but it was unsuccessful as Sparkman fell 50-47 as they lost two in a row.

Sparkman looked to improve its record to 5-2, as they took on a Huntsville Friday night.
The first quarter was completely dominated by Sparkman. They opened up on a 5-0 run, causing Huntsville to rethink their game plan. Huntsville then went on a 5-0 run tying the game up at 5-5. Sparkman didn’t like it and they shut down Huntsville’s offense. They used the momentum caused by the defense to score and at the end of the first quarter the score was 15-5.
Sparkman played unbelievable defense by only allowing Huntsville to score twelve points the score was 35-17.
The second half was more competitive then the first half, but Sparkman still controlled the pace of the game but Huntsville made a comeback making the score 35-28 going into the fourth.
Huntsville looked to try to come and win the game, but Sparkman’s defense stopped them making the final score 48-32.

The game opened up with Huntsville going on a 4-0 run, but Sparkman came back to tie it. They never let go even though Huntsville was playing them close at the end of the first it was 12-12.
Sparkman finally started heating up and took a big lead over the Panthers going into half 25-18.
