Bomb threat leads to school evacuation

Just after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning a call went out for a bomb threat at  Hazel Green High School. Students and faculty were evacuated to the football field after the threat was made to the school. A representative from the Madison County Board of Education said a note was found at the school regarding the threat.

The Madison County Sheriff Department, Alabama State Troopers, and K9 units searched the school while students waited on the football field.

Officials said nothing was found during that search and students were allowed to return to class around 11:30 a.m.
