Early morning crash sends four to local hospitals

Just after 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning a head on crash injured four people.

A red Ford Taurus collided head on with a White Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of Wall Triana Highway and Pine Grove Road injuring four people including two small children.

According to witnesses of the crash the Tahoe was sitting stopped in the turn lane in the south bound lane of Wall Triana when the Taurus slammed into it head on at a high rate of speed. The impact was so great it knocked the Tahoe backwards sixty feet.

The children were restrained in the backseat of the Tahoe seemed shaken up, but were transported to Huntsville Hospital East (Women’s and Children’s) for precautionary measures. The children’s parents were uninjured in the crash. The driver of the Taurus was transported to Huntsville Main and his passenger was transported to Madison Hospital. Their injures do not appear to be life threatening. monrovia Fire Rescue, HEMSI, and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
