More than 20 SPACE sculptures are now on display for a limited time only.

Twenty-five sculptures, part of the SPACES Biennial Trail, will be on display through June 30.

The inaugural SPACES Biennial Sculpture Trail is a collaborative project of The Arts Council, Inc., Alabama A&M University, Huntsville Museum of Art, Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment Center, and UAHuntsville.

Organizers said the SPACES Biennial Sculptures is designed to “engage and enliven the Huntsville/Madison community.”

The SPACE Biennial Sculpture Trail was installed two years ago.

“It has been exciting to see the community embrace the public sculpture showcased in SPACES,” said Arts Council Director Allison Dillon-Jauken in a release. “Residents and visitors have had an opportunity to experience and interact with art on a regular basis as they go about their daily business. The People’s Choice competition now enables children and adults to pick their favorite sculpture and say ‘thank you’ to the artist before we say goodbye to these artworks later this summer.”

The public has the opportunity to vote on their favorite sculpture. Votes may be cast online at Spacessculpturetrail.org, and walking tour maps, GPS coordinates, and information on the cell-phone guided tour are also available online.  The People’s Choice Award will be announced in July.

New sculptures, SPACES 2012-14, will replace the existing ones. Those sculptures will launch in October 2012.
