Altar’d State celebrates one-year anniversary

Published 5:12pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Altar’d State at Bridge Street celebrated its first birthday last week.

Store manager Amanda Yarbrough and assistant manager Arielle Bergmann.

The celebration began with a sale where customers picked balloons containing special discounts and gifts. The store served light refreshments and had a DJ on hand to provide musical entertainment.

“We’re actually the third store in the company to turn 1,” said store manager Amanda Yarbrough. “It’s good to have such great support from the community. I’m ready to see what it’s like to turn 2.”

Yarbrough said one reason the store was able to make it to the one-year mark is through its community involvement.

The store participates in Mission Mondays where 10 percent of the store’s net proceeds are donated to charity.

“It’s the way we give back to the community and show that we care,” Yarbrough said. “Our employees are also encouraged to volunteer around the community.”

She said volunteerism gives employees a way to be involved in the community and make a difference in people’s lives.

“It is because of the support of the community that we have reached this significant mark,” Brian Mason, president of Altar’d State. “What better way to say thank you and celebrate than with a birthday party. We want customers to come in and enjoy this milestone with us.”

Altar’d State offers fashion for women ages 16-60.

Altar’d State is located at 315 The Bridge Street #125. Directions and store hours can be found at Bridgestreethuntsville.com.
