Dynetics employee Bill Barber was injured yesterday in Building 5400 on Redstone Arsenal, the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center.
Barber is recovering in Huntsville Hospital, according to Redstone’s Public Affairs Office.
Barber’s family members said he underwent surgery on his left hand and “is doing fine,” according to the Public Affairs Office.
An investigation is being conducted by the Redstone Arsenal’s Military Police investigative agencies and safety professionals from AMRDEC and Garrison Safety Offices. Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel from Fort Campbell, Ky. are assisting in the investigation.
An inspector from the Birmingham Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also conducting an investigation.
