HUNTSVILLE -- The Huntsville Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office located a body in a wooded area off of Spragins Hollow Rd. in Huntsville on Monday morning.
The body has been identified as John Mark Allen, 47, of Toney, AL. According to a statement issued by the Huntsville Police Department, Allen’s vehicle had been seen after a shots fired call at 2 p.m. on Saturday near the Arcadia Circle neighborhood.
According to the report, a white Cadillac matching the victims description was found in a ditch off of Spragins Hollow Rd. on Sunday. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office then responded to the wife of the now deceased victim to where she filed a missing persons report.
The victim’s body was found Monday morning and as of Monday night, two arrests have been made in connection with the murder. Randle Earl Hewlett, 49, of Huntsville and Mercedes Lynea Douglas, 22, of Huntsville were charged with murder.
