Violent Sunday in Huntsville leads to three arrests

HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville Police were busy on Sunday evening after a shooting and stabbing happened just minutes apart.
Officers responded to calls of a shooting at the 200 block of Binford Dr. at around 6:22 p.m. where they found the victim Princess Bolden with a gunshot wound to the leg. Bolden was transported to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police questioned and arrested the alleged suspect, LaKila Acklin with second degree assault.
At around 6:39 p.m., Huntsville Police were called to the 3500 block of Alpine St. after calls of a stabbing. When officers arrived they found Roy Gomez with cuts to the stomach and face. Gomez was also transferred to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police questioned and arrested two suspects, Mandy Anderson and Jose Hernandez. Both were charged with assault in the second degree.
