Polls open until 7 p.m. for Madison County Special Election

Registered voters in Madison County will decide today if the Madison County Tax Collector and Tax Assessor elected offices will be consolidated into one elected office as the Madison County Revenue Commissioner.

According to the Madison County Board of Registrars, there are 277, 290 Madison County registered voters available to vote in the election. All 92 voting machines are in place at 75 physical locations and voting precincts. Polls will be open today until 7 p.m.

Voters unclear about their precinct number or voting location may visit www.madisoncountyal.gov/voter. Madison County polling places, their location and directions and new precincts lines, can also be found there.

Elections results will be posted at http://www.madisoncountyal.gov/voter/electionresults.php as boxes are brought to Madison County Courthouse basement and tabulated.
