Mother Pinkie Miller Ragland passed on December 26, 2013. She departed this life peacefully at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ragland and siblings, Jim Miller, Theo Miller, Louis Miller, and Laura Rice.
Mother Pinkie served the students of the Triana and Madison communities as a cook at West Madison Elementary School. After leaving West Madison, Mother Pinkie worked at West Huntsville Cleaners and retired after more than 25 years of service at West Huntsville Cleaners. She was a hard-working and caring woman with a generous spirit and was devoted to her family and her community.
Mother Pinkie was a faithful servant of the Lord and used her time and talents as a member of New Hope C.P.C.A. Mother Pinkie’s life was her sermon.
Mother Pinkie is survived by her daughter, Audrey Bradley (Charles) of Madison; her son, Jim Miller (Betty) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sisters, Eliza Everson of Madison and Mary Toney and Irene Ford, both of Chattanooga; one brother, Roy Miller (Elnora) of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Her funeral service was held on December 29, 2013, at the New Hope C.P.C.A in Madison. Interment followed in Madison Memory Gardens.
