Charles Ray Crisp, 40, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on May 2, 1973 in Ft. Benning, Georgia the son of Allen Ray Crisp and the late Carolyn Swindall. Mr. Crisp worked the assembly line at NTN Driveshaft, Inc. for 15 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cussetta, Georgia. He was a graduate of J.D. Johnson High School in Huntsville, Alabama. He enjoyed traveling, watching movies and wrestling and attending family reunions. He is survived by his father, Allen Ray (Alice) Crisp of Madison, Alabama; one brother, Jesse (Karen) Crisp of North Vernon, Indiana; a half-sister, Nicole Rae Woodcock of Madison, Alabama; two nieces and 3 nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and one niece. In keeping with his and the family’s wishes no services are planned at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana. Memorials may be made through the funeral home for Funeral Expenses.

Funeral service was held at 1:30 pm, on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Phillips Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church (930 Balch Road, Madison AL.) with Pastor Archie Emmanuel officiating and Minister Willie Lewis Baker eulogizing. Interment was in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. McCaulley was in repose thirty minutes prior to funeral time. Public viewing was held from 11:30 am until 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014; and from 9:00 am until 12:15 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Royal Funeral Home.
