Mr. Butler, a wellknown and much-loved educator, had a profound impact on the lives of many students during his tenure at Sylvania High School. Mr. Butler was probably best known for the greenhouse and nursery he operated many yards on Sand Mountain owe their beautiful landscaping to the expertise of G.M. Butler.
