Luther Carl Campbell

Luther Carl Campbell, 74, of Harvest, died May 1, 2007 at his home.

Carl was a native of Lawrence County, AL and a graduate of Hatton High School Class of 1951. He held B.S., M.A. and ED.S. degrees in education from the University of North Alabama. He also held an advanced degree in Administration from Auburn University. He spent 33 years in education in Madison County, starting as a coach at Madison Junior Hiht and continuing as principal of Harvest Junior High. He retired a member of the Madison County Superintendent's Administrative Staff.


He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Madison Church of Christ and a member of numerous professional organizations as well as a member of the Labor Local 366.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Zora Campbell and by four sisters; Clara Parker, Glenn Campbell and Thelma Campbell, all of Town Creek and Mabel Patterson of Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Bain Campbell; one son, Jeffery Carl Campbell; four sisters, Ruby Campbell, Ruth and Kenneth Ault, all of Town Creek, Joyce and Gary Moore, of Montgomery, and Marcilla and Donald Weems of Decatur; two brothers, John and Joyce Campbell and Ray Campbell, all of Town Creek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held May 3 at Madison Chapel Funeral Home. Services were May 4 at Parkway Funeral Home on Highway 24 in Trinity, Ala. Madison Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
