Betty Jean Stinnett

Mrs. Betty Jean Stinnett, 76 of Madison died Tuesday June 19, 2007 in Huntsville. Mrs. Stinnett was born in Indiana and has been a resident of Limestone and Madison County for 70 years.

She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and had retired from Parker Haffin after 15 years of service.


She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Stinnett is preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Stinnet, and one brother, Harlon Towe.

She is survived by two sons, Joe and Judy Stinnett of Huntsville and John and Sandy Stinnett of Trinity, Ala.; one daughter, Sonja and Linwood Mass of Huntsville; two brothers, Elbert and Beulah Towe Jr. of Madison and Billy Joe and Faye Towe of Greenbrier Ala., two sisters, Velma Jones of Shelbyville Tenn. and Katherine and Ransom Haney of Tanner; four sisters-in-law, Sue Towe of Madison and Mildred and Blair Greene of Hazel Green, Ann and Gene Jett of Huntsville and Pearline and Edward Stafford of Park City, Tenn.

She also leaves behind five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 22 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with a Chapel service Saturday, June 23 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Madison Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
