Property taxes due Dec. 31

Madison County Tax Collector Lynda Hall would like to remind all taxpayers that the last day to pay your property tax without penalty will be Dec. 31, 2007.

On Dec. 31, the Madison County Courthouse will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Satellite offices will be open from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

If the payment envelope is mailed and has a Dec. 31 postmark, it will be considered timely payment.

All Madison County offices will be closed on New Year's Day so tax payments received Jan. 2, 2008 will be subject to late penalty.
