Ruth Jane Fears
Ruth Jane Gwathney Fears, 94, of New Market died March 14 at home. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Sina Gwathney; two sisters, Ann Gwathney and Josie Davis; and a brother, John Gwathney. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Homer Rosco Fears of New Market; son, Carl and wife Dianne Worley Fears of New Market; granddaughter, Tracee and husband Lynn Price of New Market; grandson, Kevin and wife Debra Fears of New Market; four greatgrandchildren, Morgan and Megan Price and Cameron and Kaylee Fears; and their mother, Cassandra Lamon; sister-in-law, Mary Gwathney of Huntsville; four nieces, Katherine and husband Robert Wells of Meridianville, Linda and husband Ronnie McDougald of Florida, Brenda Gwathney and Jackie Gwathney of Huntsville.. Services were at Locust Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Robert White officiating. Interment was at Locust Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the Locust Grove Baptist Church building fund.
