Anne M. Magee
Funeral services for Anne Mauldin Magee, 72, of Madison were held at Boone Funeral Home in Leland, Miss. She died Apr. 2 at Huntsville Hospital Main in Huntsville. Burial was in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville, Miss., under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland. Anne was born on April 29, 1935, in Leland to Pete and Velma Mauldin. Anne graduated from Leland High School in 1953 and attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. She lived in numerous states throughout her adult life including Wyoming, New Jersey, and Ohio. She moved to Madison in 1988. Anne retired from NASA in 1994 after a twenty plus year career as a civil servant. Anne dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, reading, scrap-booking and spoiling her dogs, Lexi and Nicky. She is survived by longtime companion and dear friend, Joe Aardweg; Ed Magee of Florida, and brother, Pete Mauldin of Oklahoma. She is also survived by a son, Charlie and wife Kim of Georgia; daughter, Linda Sulc and husband Steve and grandchildren Jenny and Megan of Ohio; son, Mike and wife Becky and grandchildren Layne and Tyler of Alabama. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
