Her hobbies included decorating eggs and arranging silk flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Prescott, who died May 9. She leaves behind two children and their families, Angela Manring, her husband, James Manring, and grandson Evan Manring of Marietta, Ga.; and Robert T. Prescott and wife Susan Prescott of Lawrenceville, Ga. In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, Addie E. Taylor of Decatur and Margaret L. Parrish of Montgomery and their families, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Sept. 2 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home followed by the burial service at Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Alacare Home Health and Hospice, 208 Governors Drive, in Huntsville.
