Arvie James Elledge

Arvie James Elledge, 89, of Madison died Aug. 31, 2008 in Raleigh, N.C.

Mr. Elledge served in the Civilian Conservation Corp prior to his service in the U.S. Army during World War II.


Survivors include a daughters, Toni Gipson and husband Jerry of Harvest and Cora Bright and husband Michael of Raleigh; stepson, David Foster and wife Rachel of Athens; grandchildren, Chad Austin of Huntsville, Kana Parmley of Madison, and Ron Austin of Toney; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sept. 4.

Burial was in Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post 5162, P.O. Box 4638; Huntsville, AL 35802.
