Bowman takes Depot Days win

Donald Bowman of Madison held off Brandon Eubanks of Harvest to win the Depot Days road race Saturday morning in Hartselle.


Bowman ran the course in a time of 17:29 to beat Eubanks by 43 seconds.

Decatur’s Patrick Fagerman was third with a time of 18:42, followed by Eric Shotz of Decatur and Somerville’s James Elliot.

Rachel Eubanks was the top female finisher, crossing the finish line in 21:09. The Harvest runner was 10th.

The Depot Days 5K race drew nearly 120 runners this year.
