Local residents lead state group

Madison County residents Ruth Ann Stalnaker and Debbie O’Neal were installed as the state president and treasurer, at the 82nd state conference at the Shocco Spring Conference Center in Talladega. They are both members of the Madison County Homemakers and Community Leaders.

During the conference attendees were given the opportunity to participate in craft classes. Techniques in metal punch, crocheting and necklace making were presented.

Alabama Homemakers and Community Leaders members will meet for the 2009 state conference at Guntersville State Park Oct. 21-23.
