Weight Watchers leader honored

(Updated: Friday, November 21, 2008 11:40 AM CST)

Wendy Deaton of Madison has been awarded Weight Watcher’s Jean Nidetch Service Vision Leader of the Year Award. This award, named for the founder of Weight Watchers, is given out annually to one outstanding leader in each region who embodies the core philosophy of exceptional customer care. It is meant to recognize the leader who has gone above and beyond and strives to ensure that everyone feels motivated to succeed, part of the group, cared for and well informed.

“I am honored to present this award to Wendy Deaton,” said Penny Robinson, Territory Manager for Weight Watchers. “She consistently encourages her members to achieve their weight loss goals while consistently providing outstanding service to our members, while energizing fellow co-workers to do the same.”

Deaton leads meetings in the Madison and Huntsville areas. Weight Watchers meetings provide members the opportunity to discuss healthy eating, incorporating activity and changing behaviors in a supportive environment of one’s peers.
